Here are some cool little tricks and tips for you to try out in the kitchen that make life easy and relaxed while cooking.
3: Cook pasta 1 minute less than the package instructions and cook it the rest of the way in the pan with sauce.
.4: After working with garlic, rub your hands vigorously on your stainless steel sink before washing to remove the smell
5: If you find you need more oil in the pan when sautéing, add it in a stream along the edges of the pan so that by the time the oil reaches the ingredient being cooked, it will be heated.
6: When chopping herbs toss a bit of sea salt on the chopping board to stop them from flying around.
7: When cooking any type of meat remove it from the fridge for 20-30mins to allow it to come to room temperature. Cooking meat from cold over cooks the outside and under cooks the inside.
8: If you wet your fingers you’ll be able to remove egg shell pieces a lot easier.
9: When buying/cooking steak,lamb and pork, cook/buy with the fat on as it provides most of the flavour. Cut it off once its cooked.
10: To get the most of the juice from a lime or lemon roll it in the palm of your hand for 30 seconds before juicing.
