The ultimate quick way of making your own croissants at home.
1 sheet of ready rolled puff pastry
1 egg beaten
1 pastry brush
This couldn’t be any simpler. Cut the pastry with the knife into triangles. They don’t have to be perfect. If you watch from the video you’ll see how i did mine.
Once you have them cut, lay your triangles out with the pointy end away from you. Stretch the edges out slightly and now starting at the larger end begin to roll. Now with the palm of your roll it all the way down to the end to form a lovely croissant effect.
The beauty about these is you can really pimp them up- Why not make them bigger/smaller. Why not try some fillings inside such as cheese and ham or even go sweet with some chocolate.
Once you have all the croissant rolled lay them onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush them with the beaten egg and bake for 20-25 mins depending on your oven, until they have risen, gone golden, crispy and look amazing. Sprinkle with icing sugar immediately, so it sort of glazes the outside of the croissant and tuck in already. Enjoy!
